Just Can't resist the boy!

Isn't he cute! By-the-way, this morning he woke up at 4 a.m., I went and "plugged " (gave him is pacifier) him in, went in again at 4:30, 5:00 and finally at 5:30 I plugged him in again and went to make a bottle for the next time he woke up. I layed in bed waiting and he finally did get up--at 7 a.m! Wow! Good work Jacob! Mom LOVES that!! You deserve another kiss!!

Found time for this..and Picture taking at the Mall

OK world. I am attempting to blog again and add pictures. I'm sorry I have not kept up, but I am a Mac girl, not a PC girl and couldn't find the pictures on the computer in between Jacob's naps. Every time I'd sit down and try to figure it out, he'd wake up. :)

Anyway, last week I went to the Mall on Tuesday at noon to take the 3 month old picture at Kiddie Kandids. Jacob had woken up at 11 a.m. and was smiling so cute! I took him in and he fell asleep as soon as we got there. They were running a little behind, so I thought, that works...he can sleep and then show his adorable smile. As luck would have it, when he awoke he didn't want to smile, he wanted to eat. The photographer I was working with was SOOO patient and told me to feed him and we'd try again. Jacob didn't not want any part of it, so I rescheduled for the next day at 10 a.m.

So, on Wednesday morning we went in again. He had taken his morning nap, was feed, etc. ALL ready for the big photo shoot. We put him down on his tummy and he started to fuss, but the photographer got his attention and he smiled--ONCE! She got the shot, but that was all he would do for us on his tummy. We tried sitting him up and we took one shot of that pose also, it is a half smile, more like, "Do I really have to do this?"

When we left and I was strollering out with him, I looked down at him and what do you know--he was all smiles for me. :)

Father's Day

We spent Father's Day with Jason's family. Here are a couple of cute pictures with Jacob's cousins, Sarah, Daniel and Janette. While we were there, Daniel made the comment to me and he was not the only boy cousin any more. Now that we had Jacob there are 2 boys cousins. He loves to play with Jacob!

My Life in Florida

Ah, the life of a 2 month old! I arrived in Florida a few days ago and have been surrounded by my wonderful cousins! They have been so fun. They love to hold me, but I have usually been more concerned about eating than sitting with each of them (as they would like to have me do). I have added some adorable pictures of me with some of them for your viewing pleasure. (Or I will as soon as we get home.)

Now for some of my adventures. Since I arrived with mom and dad I have lounged pool side in my stroller or in the arms of someone who wanted to hold me. My mom and dad also took me to Epcot....my first Disney experience (Dad said it may be my one visit so I needed to enjoy every minute of it). It was warm, but I did very well. I went on some rides....Space Ship Earth, saw an exhibit on China, and an energy saving movie ride with Ellen Degneres. All very fascinating. After hearing rave reviews from my mom and dad about the "Soarin'" ride (Aunt Joy held me while they went on this ride), I wanted to try it also, but there is a height requirement and me being only 21 inches high, I didn't qualify. Bummer!

Very First Post

My sister, Joy, and her daughters, Elizabeth and Kristen, convinced me that I needed a blog now that Jacob has arrived. I decided to comply during our vacation together in Florida. So they kindly set one up for me and now I have to figure out what to fill it up with. The adventure begins!
