July

 July....our next vacation month.

To begin with we got home from Las Vegas and were informed that Jared and Stephanie's family had been exposed to hand, foot and mouth disease the week before we went to Tahiti Village.  That is what Lilly had while we were there.  We got home on Friday and Jacob had symptoms on Monday.  We spent that whole week with him hoping he'd be better by Saturday when we were leaving for Baltimore and then the Outer Banks. I wiped everything down every day to try and prevent spreading. 

His fever was gone by Thursday and we flew out on Saturday praying that no one--especially Jason, would come down with it. 

We arrived at Chris' on Saturday afternoon.  Sunday we went to church and then left for the Outer Banks.

After an uneventful trip we arrived at the house, settled in our bedrooms and then headed out to the beach after dinner.

 All the kids slept on the top floor all over.  Stephanie's husband, Brook and Max and Joy's family weren't able to come this year.

One evening Tyler styled our hair. 

 This year we weren't able to go out in the waves on Monday and Tuesday because of riptides.  These pictures were from Wednesday--the best day. 

Thursday and Friday the water was OK and Saturday we couldn't go out again. 

 This picture is from 2014, the first time we stayed in the house we rent.  It was taken from the hot tub up on the roof. 

You can see that the empty lot behind the house--that was filled with the while house by the time we got there in 2016.

Then this year--the empty lot with the path up the berm, leading to the beach...it was filled with the light blue house. 

Lots of changes in 4 years.

After we  got home Jacob started an apple camp where they worked on imovies.  He went with Jaxon and Alex Nef.

 We celebrated the 24th of July at Karen's house.  Here we are doing fireworks. 

 We finally made it to 7 Peaks with Debbie and her kids.  We usually go twice, but this summer it took until the end of July to get it together. 

 Joy invited us to her house to celebrate Taylor and Emily's birthdays.  Had a fun time. 

We went to Cowabunga a couple of times.  Here we are with Chase and Jaxon Nef.
