September

On Labor Day we went over to Brown's and played games in the afternoon.  They are BIG board game players!  We started with a group charades game and then the kids played their games while the adults played games.  It was really fun.  One thing....Jacob needs to learn to like game (non screen time) a bit more.
Lunch on their swing picnic table

On the 2nd weekend of September Jason, Ben and Tom had me drive them up Big Cottonwood Canyon so they could ride the Wasatch Crest.  We didn't know about (and didn't think to look since we ran into this same problem 2 years ago when we tried to do breakfast up in the canyon with Jared and Stephanie) the REVEL marathon.

We left our house at 7:15 and finally got them up there (having to take various detours) at 8:30.  I got home at 10.  But they had a good time!

Jacob had a "I want to be independent" weekend. On Friday night we let Jaxon and him go to a $2 movie and Saturday they wanted to hang out at the library.  I was at the library (in another section) and they had a good time.

The third weekend Jacob had a scout camp out and Jason and I went on a date!  We went to see Downton Abby, the movie.  I had watched all 6 seasons and loved it.  The movie was good, but hard to live up to the TV show.
I have been trying to finish yard work that needed to get done.  I had trimmed the bushes around the house and the next week, that Monday, I painted the front door and noticed how shabby the shutters now looked.  Lesson leaned:  Don't look up!
Cornbellys!  We went again this year.  We had parent teacher conferences, which went well, and had a comp day on the 27th.  We went with Cathyeys and took Andy and Alex.

Can't leave without our traditional picture!!

After Cornbellys, Catheys came over for dinner and them we went out to make s'mores.  It seemed to begin to rain so we went inside to finish them in the microwave.  We could have stayed outside as it never really began to rain.

Saturday Jaxon came over to play and Tom did some computer designing with Tom.  Then we went to their house for dinner.  They are a fun family!
