October

Every month, during the school year, I get together with Julie, Julie and Teresa for lunch.  We have done it since Jacob was in preschool.  We talk about kids, life etc.  It is amazing what has happened in some of our lives in 8 years.  I love getting together with them.

Conference weekend.  Sunday Jason's family came over for lunch, to celebrate September/October birthdays  and to watch afternoon conference.

This conference they announced that the Bishopric would take responsibility for the young men and young women.  That they would have assistants, but that was their main focus.  Some of the bishop's responsibilities need to move down to the Elders Quorum and Relief Society presidents.  We're working on figuring out what we need to do....working on the ward family history plan, temple attendance nights, counseling members when appropriate.  Lots to do!

I planted squash at the end of May.  I only got 2 squash out of it.  Plenty of flowers, but only 2 pollinated.  UNTIL end of September!  You can see in the picture one squash that is about ready to be picked and the flower with a squash plant just beginning to grow.
If we had warm weather through January it might have had a chance.

Le Ann's daughter Dani had a baby shower and all of us (who do lunch 4 times a year) came to celebrate.  I've know most of them 25 years!

The annual STEM fair.  We went with Catheys.  Always fun to see what is there to try.

Jason was out of town for work and Catheys had us over to dinner.

Here are grandma and grandpa actually loading the dishwasher.  Usually the family hand washes the dishes and then puts in the dishwasher as a drying rack!
The caption on this scarecrow says, "Harry and
his invisibility cloak."  The boys have their
arms around "Harry."  :)

We had Homecoming for BYU and the McKay School of Education does a tailgate party before the game.  We brought Jaxon with us and walked around the campus.  It was a chilly, but pretty fall day.

Jacob has been taking FACs.  It is a foods, sewing, consumer class. Here is the pillowcase he made.

Parker is in the process of doing Med school interviews.  He came to stay with us the night before his interview at the U of U.

Here is Malia and Jayson's early arrival.  Brady Jaquish...such a darling little baby!!!
