July

July began with dinner.  I got together with my old Stake Primary presidency group.  It was so fun to see all of them and catch up.

All of their kids are older and it is so interesting to hear about what they are dealing with.  Some of it is hard!

A few days later we had our annual street 4th of July breakfast.  It was smaller this year, but fun to see people.  We had Osburns, Woods, Higleys, Ceballos and us.

 Later that afternoon Jason's family came over for a BBQ.  Hannah and Steven have moved back so they were able to join us too.

Later that night we drove over to South Towne mall to watch the fireworks.

Relief Society has been putting on a lot of activities this summer.  One was a Mom and Kids pool party.  it was really fun!  It has been so hot this summer--it was a welcome relief.

We also went to Top Golf with Ahyous and had a fun time.  Not all great golfers, but fun!

I went to lunch with a group of teachers I used to work with at Spring Creek.  Marcy was in town visiting her parents so we were all able to get together.  Fun to see them.

Josh and Irina flew into town with Daniel and Sarah.  Dan had his mission homecoming on the 14th.  He gave such a good talk.  Later that day Janette's boyfriend, Jared, proposed to her at the Orem temple.  We are very excited for them!

Later that week the family all met up at the Springville reservoir.  We played in the water, kayaked, paddle boarded, hung out and had dinner.  

Jenny and Jacob flew into town that day so it was fun to see them and their kids.  Sarah's boyfriend also flew in to spend the week.  He was baptized about a week earlier and seemed like a nice young man.  

 

After dinner we celebrated birthdays for the kids from the past 

4 months.

The next day, Saturday, the 20th, we had baby blessings for Marshall (Stephen's son), and Sam (Jenny's son).  We met at the church, had the blessings, had pizza, cleaned up, changed clothes and headed to Murray Park for family pictures. 

I think our family picture is good, but I wish the hair over my right shoulder had been behind my shoulder.  

Later that night we went over to Randy and MarySue's for dinner.  Poor MarySue....when Stephen moved back they were over helping and she fell down some stairs and broke her ribs again.  They are healing, but she keeps doing things that cause them not to heal...like lifting the drink bucket with Randy, picking up grandkids, sleeping on the floor with Juliet.
