Back in 1992 I moved up to Salt Lake with my roommate Anna. We moved into the Murray South ward and made great friends. In 1993 I was put in the Relief Society presidency with Juliana Seamons (Casey) (Presdient), Renee Riddle (Moore) (1st Coun), Me (2nd Coun), and Beth Fillerup (Secretary).
Renee got married in 1995, had a son and they adopted 2 black kids, Juliana was teaching school, married in 2016 and Beth fell away from the church--as far as we know she is living in California. But we have not had contact really since we left the ward in 1996. I went to Juliana's retirement 3 years ago and we later went to lunch.
Last week I ran into Renee in the temple. She had just retired in August and so now had time. I got her number and texted both of them and we did lunch on Tuesday, the 1st. It was great seeing them! They both are doing well and it was fun to see and hear how our lives have turned out after 30 years.
This week (the week of the 1st) the east coast long shores men went on strike. I went to Costco and the toilet paper hoarding has begun again.
Luckily they went back to work and the bargaining table a few days later.
The Friday night of General Conf. weekend we had the Catheys over for a BBQ. The weather has been beautiful (80's) and we were able to eat outside, play Kubo and take a walk around the block.
Saturday we stayed home to watch General Conf. A lot of the talks were about civility, temple attendance and Christ.
Monday night was Jacob's fall choir concert. It was very good and they did a great job. It was fun to hear the songs chosen and the teacher kept it to an hour.
Sunday we went to Jared and Stephanie's for lunch and the afternoon session.
I invited MarySue, Randy and Mom to come.
Joy couldn't attend, but she met me half way with mom in the afternoon and then after the concert I took her home.
Mid month our Relief Society had a small group activity...went to lunch at Gardner Village. It was a fun get together.

On Saturday Hannah and Steve came up with the kids to Scheels. They wanted to ride the Ferris wheel. We watched Marshall while they rode with Meilin.
