Dad's 80th Birthday

I have been so behind on blogging. December 9th was my dad's 80th birthday. My brother Chris flew in from Maryland and we had a lunch that day at Heidi's house and on Sunday we had a family dinner. These pictures are from the family dinner. My parent's friends, the Hellewells came over too.
I can't believe he is 80!! He is such a great dad!!

Pirating Music in my Younger Years, but not thinking about it

In the 80's my friends and brothers would give me cassette tapes and I thought nothing of the fact that I had not purchased them. I wasn't accepting the tapes to be dishonest, I just did not think of it that way. Did you, in your younger years, copy music and just didn't think about it?

Jacob wants to do whatever Jason is doing. He loves his dad, to the point that he has said that when he grows up he is going to change his name to Jason.

Picking Flowers

Jacob likes to pick flowers for me on his way home from church. I'm not sure how the neighbors feel about it, but I doubt they minded that he picked this one. :)

Thanksgiving Time

Unfortunately I did not take many pictures at Thanksgiving, but I did get this one. Jacob made this hat at preschool.

October--What a Fun Month!

October is full of fun things to do! So much going on and activities for kids--we had a great time!

Some of the things we did this month were:

We drove up into the mountains to see the color of the leaves.

Jacob went to the pumpkin patch with his preschool class.

We went to Gardner Village with friends to see the witches on display.

One of the most fun activities was Cornbellys.


















Chevron, Jason's work, sponsored "Touch a Truck." They had huge trucks from all types of jobs that kids could climb on and look around. We even took a ride in a "cherry picker."





And, of course, there were the always LOVED bounce houses.

For Halloween Jacob was a fireman. Jason happens to be on the volunteer fire fighting team at work so I took Jacob to Chevron so he and Dad could take a picture together in their "turn out" suits.



We carved our pumpkin that Aunt Karen grew for us.
