Tahiti Village--End of June

Ahhhh...Tahiti Village.  I love that place.

We left on Monday and took Mylee with us.

We checked into our room, brought our things up and blew up the floatee and raft to go swimming.

Tuesday morning we got up and went swimming again.  One thing that is nice about Tahiti Village is they have activities during the day where you can take a break from swimming.

After lunch we went to the activity center and Mylee made a wind chime.  Jason and Jacob played fuse ball.

We then went back to the pool while we waited for Jared, Stephanie and the rest of the kids to arrive.

They got there about 4 p.m.  Put on their suits and came to join us.  Robbie loved the pool.

That night Stephanie fixed noodle chicken from Costco.  By that time it was late and everyone headed to bed.

Wednesday Jason and I had our time share presentation. Jacob stayed with Jared and Stephanie.  When we were done we headed to the pool for a while.  Later we came in for lunch and then the kids went to the activity center.  Some  decorated cookies.  I make cupcakes for Jason's birthday.

Here we have me trying to take a picture with Jacob smiling.  He is less than cooperative at times.

The older girls did some cookie decorating and then tried their hand a pool.  Mylee actually shot the while ball up and off the table.

For dinner that night I made Ranch Garlic chicken.  We had cupcakes and drumstick ice cream for dessert.   We also watch a movie.

Thursday morning Jared and Stephanie went to their timeshare presentation.  On Wednesday, Lilly came down with a fever.  By Thursday Robbie had it.  So we took the other kids, while Abby stayed with Lilly and Robbie.

After swimming we came in and everyone had lunch.  That afternoon it was fuse beads (Jacob did not want to do it) and at 3 p.m. root beer floats.

We had dinner of taco salad and did another movie.

Friday it came to an end and we had to leave.

Here is a picture from 2015 with Mylee and Jacob.  The other is from this year.  Just to compare how he has grown.

It was a fun week full of swimming and cousins!  I was fine coming home, but sure loved just being away!

Only bummer is Jacob caught what the girls had.  He is sick this week.  Hopefully better by our next trip!!

June

First Saturday in June I had birthday breakfast for Judy and Brenda, along with Le Ann and Margaret, while Jason and Jacob went with Cathey's to an event down at Utah Lake.  Here they are paddle boating.  I think Jason was doing most of the pedaling.

This year for field day the PTA (I'm on the executive board) took charge.  Previously each grade level had time out on the field and the teachers and/or parents came up with games.  Then the kids rotated around the stations.  As a parent who ran the stations I did not want to do it again.
So PTA rented a bounce house, bungee run, 20 man twister, bubble ball, a dunk tank, photo booth and DJ.  We used the emergency snacks (we have to replace each year), provided water and Popsicles.
Each activity came with people to run them and we provided volunteers to help.  It was great!  They set up and took down.  Sooo much easier than before.  The lst - 3rd came out 9-10:20 a.m. and 4-5th came out 10:30-11:50.  The kids could go around and do anything they wanted. The kids loved it and and had a great time.  The PTA and parents survived because we didn't have to run everything ourselves.

On  Wednesday, June 6th, we had our annual neighborhood End of School party.  Held it in our yard.  It went pretty well.

After everyone went home, Jacob, Gabe, Ashton, Connor, and Noah stayed and played on the inflatable.

 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Thursday, July 7th.  Seemed to take forever to get here!

Here he is with Lin Laoshi and Amy Beckert.  Both really great teachers.

That afternoon Jacob attended Dalton's end of school swim party.  Always fun!

Amy had her 21st birthday on the 10th.  We celebrated over at Mom's.

Apple had kid's classes.  Here, he and Elias Ahyou are doing a sphero maze.  So fun!

On Friday, the 15th, Debbie Kirby, her kids, Jacob and I met at This is the Place Heritage park for our annual Jon M. Huntsman day.  I believe the kids are beginning to grow out of it, but we had fun.

Debbie met us there and the twins wanted to ride the horses.  So they got in line, for over an hour, to ride.  I took the boys and we went around the rest of the park.  We met them for lunch and then went to the splash pad and had our free ice cream.

On a day of boredom Jacob and I took Jaxon Nef and Bridger to Dimple Dell to swim.  They had a great time.
2 tired boys!

Saturday, June 16, was the Webb reunion.  Had it at our church.  It was basically our family and then Jason's aunts and uncles.  2 cousins came, but only for a short time.  The kids had fun with the water fight.

Father's Day!  Here Jacob is giving Jason the gift of.... water guns!  One for each.

We bought sandals for Jason in May and I put them away for Father's day.  A few weeks ago he started to look for them.  He said, "I know I tried them on before I went to Escalante."  Which he hadn't because I had them hidden.  He was really wondering where they went.  I almost told him I had them so he wouldn't drive himself nuts, but he let it go so I didn't tell him.

He needed a sun shade for his car and Jacob picked out the Star Wars theme.

Later that day Jason's family came over for Father's day.  We had left overs from the day before.

Today, Jacob is down at Chase's house playing.  Next week we head to Las Vegas!
