Have you ever wondered...

...how pioneer women had a baby AND washed clothes by HAND....kept a dirt floor clean, cooked meals over an open fire without buring it? How did they do it--were the babies crying all the time because mom didn't have time to feed them with everything else she had to do (by hand)? I have to work at cooking with a microwave and washing with a machine.

Then the women of the fifties...did they really do everything in the dress that cinched in at the waist and flaird out (like the dresses on I Love Lucy)? I like the look, but prefer my jeans and sweats. :)

Good points to ponder. How did they do it? And, they had so many kids, too!

It was probably easier to keep the house picked up (I don't know how clean something with a dirt floor could really be) because they had less stuff. We are definitely a stuff generation!

That's where the "sister wife" thing came into play!

Yea, I don't get it either! However, the pioneers didn't have to worry so much as to where their kids were! And, yes, I prefer the sweats and hair in a pony tail! :)
