The drive went well. We left at 4 a.m. going and coming so that Jacob would be alseep for part of the trip (it took about 12 hours). He did SOOO well! Really was not fussy until the last half hour or so.
Linde doing her share of the driving while Jason took a turn sleeping. (Yes, I took the picture while driving....it was a long stretch of desert highway--nearly zero other cars.)
We spent time with the cousins playing...
Jacob and Tanner Erin, Jacob and Connor.....Warm weather diaper buddies--we miss the warm weather!
We went on a hike to the San Tan Mountains. Looking cool in his Build a Bear sun glasses
Touched our toes in water....
...and didn't like it.
Jacob felt the need to ride a bike like the cousins were doing.
We also had a great time eating. We went through 6 pumpkin pies, 2 lemon and 1 pecan pie! When it was all said and done we were tired....as you can see Kristina and Dad show it all!

I love it! Especially the pic of Kristina and your dad! Made me laugh. I'm glad all went well. The basement is DONE!!! Just completed today, I am so excited. The mirror in the bathroom has to be replaced and I just got a call that it will happen today. So maybe if I can get some stuff moved down this weekend, we can have a get together before kids tear it up!! Ha, ha.
How did you find water in Arizona? I didn't think there was such a thing, unless you were at those big fancy resorts or golf courses.
Arizona is lovely this time of year, isn't it?
Glad the trip went well, and Jacob cooperated with the LONG drive. Consider yourself lucky!!
Thanks for putting in that you had fun. I did not want the trip to be exciting, hence we only had "fun". So, with that said, I am so glad you put that last picture in of me and dad. It was one of the best we took over the holiday. So thank you again for adding that. And next time you come, only count on fun. NO excitement will be had. Please let jason know. Thanks... :)
I wish I could've been with you, but probably better that we didn't since last year we got the stomach flu and fled the house at 5 am to get away from all the grossness, only to have 4 people throwing up in the car all the way home. Good times...
love the post!! and my favorite, of course, was the last one!! :) haha, it made me laugh! AML!!
San Tan Mountains? You were so close and didnt even stop by......im crushed.......:)
NINE pies??? Who ate them all? Lovely post. Love Jacob's sunglasses. It portrays him as the cool little dude that he truly is!
It looks like you guys had a great time. It really must have been warm. You were all wearing short sleeves. And your little Jacob is such a cutie.
I love the picture of you driving and Jason sleeping in the back. That is totally our routine. At least I get to listen to my favorite music while he's snoozing away.
I love the pictures with his cousins... isn't it fun to be an aunt and a mom all at the same time?
