His First Hair Cut!

My baby is growing up! Last Saturday I finally took the scissors to the hair over his ears. You can see here....
how long it was getting.

I thought I'd just take a bit off around the ears, but once that was done he looked like he had a mullet because the back now looked extra long. With Jason's help, we trimmed the back together. All in all not bad considering we were doing it on a squirming 10 month old.
In a way I hated to cut his hair....makes him look older. Still cute, cute, cute, but weird to think he is old enough to do that. I guess I should be thankful he has hair! :)

WOW! Camilla was like that, hair that needed to be cut before one. Not Neal...he looks so cute! I'm on my own today, so far so good. I'm off to take a nap though. Hope you are having a good day.

I meant to say Jacob looks so cute with the haircut! They both are cute, it's just that Neal doesn't need a haircut just yet!

Love his hair cut! He looks like such a little boy! (as opposed to a baby) :) Cutting hair is so hard, but you did a fab job! We look forward to seeing it in person next week.

He is so cute! You did a great job on the haircut. I cut one of my son's ears once when I was trying to give him a haircut :( They do look older once they get those fuzzy hairs cut off, but they are just turning into our little men!

You are brave. I tried cutting once and it didn't turn out so well. You did a great job. Let me know when you are open for business!

He looks SOOOO cute and old!!! He definitely looks more like a "little boy" rather than baby....a sad/happy thing. Good job on the haircut. When I cut Michael's hair, the only way I could do it was put him in his high chair and put marshmellows all over the tray for him to play with/eat. Jacob is sooooo cute!

Jacob is so handsome with his new haircut. It really is a sign of the little ones going from newborn to toddler when they get that first haircut. They grow up wwaaaayyyyy too fast.

Now that Connor never stops talking -- I kind of miss that newborn stage. Kind of.

He IS looking so big - and so handsome! We trimmed Eva's bangs, and one side ended up pretty short - it wasn't great looking but at least the hair was out of her eyes.

That first haircut is bittersweet, but he looks darling with it! Good job! I need to master the hair-cutting skill. It would save lots of money the way my kids' hair grows :)
