Off to Cars and Coffee
Jacob came home General Conf. weekend. Mainly to go to the movies with Gabe on Friday night, Cars and Coffee with Jaxon on Saturday morning, hang out with Lucas Saturday afternoon, and hang out with Jaxon Holbrook on Saturday night.
He did manage to watch some of Saturday afternoon conference while doing some homework. He was hot and had not brought shorts so he did this.

Adapting when you're hot
Sunday we had Jason's family over for dinner after the p.m. session of Conf.

Hannah's baptism
On Saturday, Oct 10 we went to Hannah's baptism. Afterwards we went to Elizabeth's for lunch.

Some of the stuff he needed
That next weekend I left on a girls trip with Marcia Johns and Ginny Tuite down in St. George. Jacob also was texted by Jackson and Paul to see if he wanted to go camping that weekend.
Originally they were camping south of us and Jackson said he would drive up, get Jacob, drive south to camp, and then drive him back up to Logan! Jacob checked with people to see if anyone was coming down and there was no one.
Ended up with Jackson and Paul coming up to Logan to camp up in Paradise. Jackson has a cousin who lives there. They went up, went to the cousin's house, that night went out camping (and were cold), then back to the cousin's and then to Logan.

The Pizza Cart I love it and now have a frequent buyers punch card! I wish I had gotten the card when I went in Sept with Jason and again with Joy!

Meanwhile, I left Friday morning with Marcia to head down to St. George. Ginny was already down there...she has a 2nd home there as her husband works down there with Black Desert Resort.
We stopped at the Pizza Cart for lunch. YUM! We had pizza and gelato.
We arrived at Ginny's and spent most of the afternoon talking. We then went to a farmer's stand. I bought an apple (my dinner) and then we went to a gas station for a cookie.
We then headed to the main part of St. George to find a store Marcia said sells items from pallets. There was nothing there and we walked down the street...stopped in a jewelry store that sells Native American stuff. Marcia and Ginny looked and bought. I just looked. The owner was very nice. A man who was a former Young Singles Ward bishop.

Hiking with Ginny, Marcia and Cynthia at Chuckwalla Trail |
The next morning we got up and hiked a couple of miles on the Chuckwalla trail. It wasn't bad, but after an hour or so I said I needed to go back with my leg. Overall, my leg was fine, but going on a dirt path does begin to wear on it.
It was a pretty trail and the weather was great!
After the hike we met up with Cynthia at the Tuachan market. It was fun to walk around and see what people were selling.
We then went to Cynthia's brother's house. She thought he might have some basil since he has a large garden. He did not, but he did have a pomegranate tree! I had no idea how they even grew so this was fun to see.
We then went to the First Watch restaurant for breakfast/lunch. It was good.

Red Hills Desert Garden
We then headed to the Red Hills Dessert Garden to see the Scarecrow Walk. I have gone to the before when we were down there with Catheys a few years ago.
That night we went to Tuachan to see Grease. I don't care for the story, but it was well done.
Sunday morning we went to a 9 a.m. ward and then we drove home.
It was a fun weekend and good to getaway--again. :)
