Amazingly Jacob turned 1 year old on Monday. I can't believe my baby is heading into the toddler stage!!
We had a good day. I spent a lot of it making a cake for him. We call him our little monkey so I tried to make a monkey cake. It turned out OK, but not a skill I could ever make money at.
Grandma and Grandpa Wong, Jenny and Steve, Jared and the kids, Grandma and Grandpa Safsten and Elizabeth over in the evening to open presents and eat birthday cake. He still doesn't quite get the opening presents thing, but it is coming.
Joy, please note that I got into a picture with Jacob on his first birthday. :)
His cousin Stephanie called to sing Happy Birthday to him.
Hmmmm....I've never tried something like this before...not bad.We love our little Jake boy! He is so sweet and cuddly, don't know what we would do without him!

Look at what he can do now that he is one. His latest and greatest trick...he showed this to me after I finished changing his diaper today. It made me laugh!

He is so cute! When our oldest turned one we sat him in a big tupperware kind of tub with his cake and had him go crazy eating it! Very cute for a photo and very messy for the carpet!
Happy Birthday Jacob! Wow, I thought about it this last weekend, then forgot again. Congrats on the cake!! He's so cute and I laughed too, when I saw the picture of him peeking through his legs; how's your white carpet these days...LOL!

How adorable! Jacob is SO cute:0) And I don't care what you say, I love the monkey cake and thought it turned out great. Judging by that one photo of Jacob testing the frosting, I think he agrees with me!
Happy Happy Birthday darling Jacob! I can't believe out babies are 1! Didn't we just have them? The monkey cake is incredible. Don't sell yourself short! I made Sammie the cutest pig cake when she turned 1. Now I'm over at Harmons ordering one--I've lost the will to do anything creative! I love his new trick. I heard once that when babies do that, it means a sibling is on the way--some legend or something. Hmmmm

I didn't realize Jacob and I shared the exact same birthday. Happy birthday Jacob! I love his new trick. He's got such talent and skill...ha ha.
Where did the time go? HE looks like a big boy! We will have to get Jacob and Tessa together this summer. She is just a couple months behind him.
