What is he looking at with such eager fascination? Soaking in all of the educational opportunity his mother is trying to provide him...broadening his viewpoint and expanding his universe?
Nope...he is looking at the drain pipe. Or as Jason pointed out, he is "studying the gradient field and optimzation of the hydrodynamic flow paths."
Last Saturday we went as a family up to Silver Lake. It was a perfect day for it and had a nice time strolling along with Jacob, picking up dead pine branches and pine cones. He loved it.
So did we.

Love this post. Cute pictures and it looks like all of it was fun. I'm looking forward to Neal being a little more sure on his feet; it's fun to be able to mosy along with them.
So much fun - love nature and kids!
Sorry I couldn't make it to Thanksgiving Point. I am kind of a freak...Jenna is in afternoon kindergarted, so I alway think I con't have time for stuff like that in the AM. I need to get over that!
Silver Lake is beautiful and just the right size walk for the little ones.
Jacob is so cute! I don't know him but through your posts I feel I know him, you know?
Had fun with you guys yesterday. Jacob is a cutie and a mama's boy! :)
I just have to say that I totally relate to your mother of the year post. I felt that way when Ryan fell down the entire flight of stairs while I was chatting on the phone with a friend. Never mind the fact that Sammie did the exact same thing when she was a baby. Somehow I didn't learn my lesson. Luckily they are both still alive and don't appear to have any serious injuries. I swear children are made of rubber.
Cute pictures! Silver Lake is beautiful - I'm jealous that you get to see mountains every day!
